Job Description:

Besnovo is seeking an experienced computer vision engineer/specialist to lead the research and development of state-of-the-art 2D & 3D vision algorithms and systems for industrial robotic, laser de-coating, and robotic painting applications.
The successful candidate will report to the CTO at Besnovo and will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop aircraft laser de-coating and robotic painting systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop 2D/3D vision algorithms and software for 3D reconstruction and object identification for path planning and anti-collision applications for industrial robot arms and mobile robots.
Develop and implement vision-based material classification algorithms for identify paint presence and layers on aircraft surface.
Select and evaluate 2D and 3D sensors to meet the requirements of laser de-coating and robotic painting applications.
Travel may be required for system testing and commissioning.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Robotics or related fields
3+ years of computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning expertise
Expertise and hands-on experience in developing and implementing 2D and 3D vision systems for robotic applications
Experience in TensorFlow and other ML frameworks and their application in objective identification and material classification
Strong programming skills in C++ and object-orientated software development skills for image and point cloud processing applications
Creative, self-motivated, disciplined, and strong sense of responsibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills
A self-starter working in an entrepreneurial environment
